The National Agency for National Parks (ANPN) and Havilah Mining Gabon have entered into a strategic partnership to support the responsible development of an iron ore deposit located within the buffer zone of the Moukalaba-Doudou National Park.

This collaborative agreement reflects the Government of Gabon’s vision of balancing sustainable economic development with the protection of the country’s exceptional natural heritage. Through this partnership, Havilah Mining Gabon will contribute to conservation initiatives that help preserve the ecological integrity of Moukalaba-Doudou National Park while ensuring that mining activities are undertaken responsibly and in accordance with sustainable development principles.

The partnership is established under the framework of Articles 15, 17 and 22 of Law No. 003/2007 relating to Gabon’s National Parks, which encourages cooperation between protected area authorities and responsible economic operators through concerted management agreements.

By signing this agreement, Havilah Mining Gabon has reaffirmed its commitment to environmental stewardship, biodiversity conservation and responsible resource development. The company will support initiatives aimed at strengthening environmental monitoring, enhancing anti-poaching efforts and contributing to the long-term protection of the park’s unique ecosystems.
